Stunning School

I attended Beckfoot school in the 90's and it was a rather uninspiring place. The exam results were bad with under 25% of students achieving C - A* at GCSE based mainly on sloppy teaching and lack of organisation. However. We viewed the school last year as an option for our son and were blown away by the transformation that has taken place at the school. David Horn started as head in my final year and to see what he's done since then is amazing. The results of C - A* has risen to 76%, the students all seemed happy to be there and the facilities were as good as any state school I've ever seen. We were thrilled to send our son to Beckfoot. Since then, he's been loving his Beckfoot experience. He actually seems to enjoy lessons (if not homework), talks enthusiastically of both new friends and teachers and both my wife and I have noticed his confidence soar. Beckfoot is a terrific state school and one certainly worth considering for your kids.
